This CPD will enable you to deliver talks and presentations with confidence, develop new and exciting ways of marketing yourself, and reach out to different audiences.
Building further on the course content from module 10, the CPD will support hypnotherapists with confident delivery of talks, presentations and workshops as well as the marketing involved with these. It will cover everything that you need to know when it comes to planning, preparing and delivering engaging content for a group talk or presentation.
Course Content
This CPD will cover:
- The different groups of people and businesses who may require talks and how to contact them.
- What content to include and how to differentiate depending on the audience.
- The difference between face to face and online presentations.
- Confidence when delivering.
- Marketing yourself.
- Questioning skills and audience participation.
- How to include guided relaxations and appropriate language patterns.
- You will also be given practical materials to support with creating your own talks and presentations.
Objectives:
- Understand how to plan and deliver a talk/ presentation to a group of people.
- Understand how to market group talks and presentations.
- Differentiate content for different audiences.
- Develop confidence with public speaking.
- Learn basic questioning skills and how to facilitate audience participation.
Presenter
Katie Churms
HPD, DSFH, BA(Hons) with QTS
Katie graduated from CPHT in 2020. During the pandemic, with no previous experience in marketing or running a business, she set up and grew her successful practice ‘Songbird Hypnotherapy’ in Bedfordshire and online. She now sees an average of 20 clients a week, specialising in anxiety, stress and overwhelm.
Katie has ten years’ experience of working in teaching and education and holds a BA(hons) in education. Previously working as a primary teacher and tutor, she made the leap to solution focused hypnotherapy after experiencing the magic for herself! She left teaching to train with CPHT, set up her practice in 2020 and has never looked back.
Katie is a senior lecturer for CPHT Chester, and a qualified supervisor. Whilst running her busy practice she also offers mentoring and coaching for other hypnotherapists. She is passionate about supporting other hypnotherapists to grow and thrive.
