Description
This CPD is aimed to help Solution Focused Hypnotherapists in understanding how they can best recognise and support those presenting with eating disorders. It will also cover the impact of dieting, the importance of food on the brain, and how to ensure that a client receives the appropriate support.
Eating disorders are often misunderstood and it is vitally important in many cases that early intervention is sought to ensure recovery. Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of all psychiatric conditions. This CPD will equip therapists to understand where they fit into the treatment plan and when they should seek referrals to other support infrastructures to support the client.
Understanding of malnourishment and the impact that this can have on effective therapy is key. It can often be a case of establishing when it is best not to work with a client and who should be called upon to offer the appropriate support, and at what time.

Reviews
“I think that Eating disorders CPD with Holly was absolutely phenomenal. It was so informative and helped fill in the gaps as well as provide so much needed training to ensure the best care for your clients. Holy was very thorough and yet very approachable and welcomed questions and discussions throughout the day which in itself was very helpful for everyone who attended. Her professionalism and extensive experience on the subject of eating disorders shone throughout the day. I strongly think that this CPD should be on regular CPD rotation and I have no doubt that every SFH practitioner will benefit immensely from attending it.” JK
