Neuroscience CPD

We often say in our description of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy that it is “neuroscience based”. Here is your chance to find out a little more about how we can say that with confidence!

Description

We often say in our description of SFH that it is “neuroscience based”. Here is your chance to find out a little more about how we can say that with confidence!

This full day CPD will cover all the information you need to answer the questions in the AHD neuroscience module as well as giving you a deeper understanding of how we can use this knowledge to benefit our client work.

Course Content

This CPD will cover:

  • Overview of the brain and nervous system structure and function
  • An introduction to brain imaging techniques
  • The role of common neurotransmitters within the brain
  • A more in-depth look at neuroplasticity as the basis of all change
  • What exactly IS “emptying the bucket’?
  • How stress impacts both the brain and body systems scubas immune function and hormonal systems
  • How pain is generated and how we can modify this with SFH techniques
  • The difference between trance and meditation
  • The form and function of sleep and its importance in SFH

After this CPD you will be able to confidently discuss the role of stress in impacting our physical and mental health, and explain how SFH is an invaluable tool to moderate its effects.

You will have an updated knowledge of how neurotransmitters run our lives, and how we can use SFH to support clients in reducing medication such as painkillers and antidepressants (obviously with the client liaising with their GP on this).

You will be able to use this scientific information to explain how our SFH techniques work effectively with both clients and other healthcare professionals and take the next step toward integrating SFH into the accepted treatment landscape for mental and physical health problems.

The importance of Neuroscience is why this CPD is also an integral part of the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma course (AHD).

I always come away with new insights and things I want to research myself further. She is motivating and passionate about neuroscience." Vanessa

"This was a really great CPD. So informative with great slides and notes. Claire is a brilliant presenter, I would highly recommend this CPD." Iona

I attended the course as part of my work towards AHD and it was superb. Not only through the delivery of the content, but also thanks to the genuinely professional and passionate delivery of Claire. I'm glad I took copious amounts of notes as that made me look further afield when re-reading my paperwork. I feel completely secure in the knowledge imparted during this course, thanks to the in-depth explanations given.

While in many ways neuroscience is a hard subject to cover, everything about this training went well and was very helpful. Thank you Claire for your hard work.

Claire is very knowledgeable and a great presenter. As there is so much information to take on board I feel in hindsight this course could easily be a 2-day course - with the days spaced out, to allow time for processing some of the info between the 2 days.

Claire Noyelle’s knowledge and enthusiasm for Neuroscience really brought the subject to life in a way that made it very accessible. I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
