Is Hypnotherapy Regulated

Home » About Hypnotherapy » Is Hypnotherapy Regulated

Several years ago Hypnotherapy/ists failed in their attempts to bring about Voluntary Self Regulation (VSR). At the time it was broadly agreed that if we managed VSR, that the gateway entry to hypnotherapy, for those who wished to practice under the regulated ‘umbrella’, would be the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma, or HPD.

The quality mark of the HPD was (and remains) that it could only be delivered by schools externally accredited by an independent arbiter such as NCFE or C&G, and the standards of work by the students would be audited by the same.

Since the dissolution of those efforts (and some would say that the increasing profile of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council [CNHC] suggests not all was lost) we have seen a proliferation of short, or cheap, or correspondence, or bargain (Groupon) courses in hypnotherapy, which of course are appealing to people who are short on cash, or in a hurry to qualify, and of course, CPHT have had to respond to this, and we have…..

Please welcome the highest qualification currently available in hypnotherapy…the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD) granted level 5 equivalence by NCFE, and available to all HPD graduates of CPHT.

Faced with a dilution of standards, this is the way a serious Hypnotherapy School should react, and if you’re serious about a career in Hypnotherapy, and would like to find yourself still practising a year after graduating, then we would hope that this lights the way for you.

Be the best you can.
