Currently, I am a Chiropractor training in solution-focused Hypnotherapy (SFH). Seems odd to you? Well there are actually a lot of overlaps. Many of my Chiropractic patients re-present with aches and pains caused by posture, injury and more than often driven by an element of stress and tension. SFH helps people to relax and unwind, which can be very beneficial to not just their mental wellbeing but that of their physical body too.
I ventured into SFH because I wanted to help patients be their best, but also Chiropractic is a very physical job and due to my genetics it is likely that I won’t be able to physically do my job right up to retirement age and the thought of not being able to help people out of pain was challenging me.
The opportunity came along and I grasped it with both hands. Not only do I get to continue to help people for longer but I have benefitted myself from learning about and understanding, how the brain works and what a healthy mind looks and feels like.
I am half way through my training and I feel lighter, brighter and confident. The trials and tribulations of life still happen but they are more manageable and I see a future full of helping people feel the same way.
