Hypnotherapy training is designed to give you the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to accurately and effectively treat your clients. From those looking to start a fresh career, to hypnotherapy professionals and wellness practitioners, hypnotherapy training courses have something to offer at any level of experience.
At CPHT, our accredited Hypnotherapy Diploma provides NCFE Level 4-equivalent certification, assuring both you and your clients of your skills and enabling you to provide modern, evidence-based, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. In this article, we’ll explore the different facets and modules of our hypnotherapy training course so you know exactly what you’re getting into – and what you will get out of it.
What the CPHT Hypnotherapy Diploma Includes
Earn a Recognised Qualification
Our Hypnotherapy Diploma enables you to obtain a recognised qualification that can kickstart your career as a hypnotherapist. Our course results in you obtaining a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH). Additionally, the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) is externally accredited by the NCH, and a Level 4 qualification equivalent, showing real expertise and value.
Blend Theory, Practice, and Business Skills
Throughout the course, you will be given dozens of hands-on opportunities to help refine your skills and interact with different clients and their varying needs. Core parts of the diploma include:
- 120 hours of face-to-face training from certified hypnotherapy professionals
- Highly practical approach that involves live work with clients
- Start working with volunteers from the first month
- Build confidence gradually with supervision and lecturer support
- Reflective practice embedded throughout, ensuring the skills you learn will last for life
Core Skills You Will Learn
Therapeutic Hypnosis
This enables you to guide clients safely into a trance state, where they may more easily divulge information at a deeper subconscious level while maintaining a sense of calm. You will be shown how this type of hypnosis supports behavioural and emotional change, with live demonstrations and peer practice every month.
Neuroscience for Therapists
Neuroscience focuses on how the brain creates anxiety, depression, anger, and phobic responses. By understanding the chemistry behind it, you can more easily treat it, plus it makes it easier to explain brain function clearly to your clients – which is vital if you want them to be assured that you know what you’re doing.
Evidence-Based Psychotherapy
You will receive foundational knowledge in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and learn to use tools and techniques such as:
- Scaling questions
- Goal setting
- Metaphor work
- ‘The Miracle Question’
Business & Marketing Skills
Finally, aside from practical hypnotherapy skills, our diploma will give you all the vital business and marketing skills needed to thrive and compete as a professional in the open market. We’ll guide you on key parts of business and self-promotion, including:
- How to set up your hypnotherapy practice
- Free/low-cost marketing to find volunteers
- Websites, branding and content basics
- Paid advertising: what to use and when
- How to charge clients ethically and confidently
