Founded in 2013, CPHT Oxford belongs to the CPHT network of over 20 hypnotherapy training schools across the UK, all dedicated to helping students launch fulfilling careers in hypnotherapy. Our Oxford school is led by experienced Senior Lecturers Alison and Brett, both practicing hypnotherapists, who bring energy, insight, and real-world experience into every session. Training takes place at the beautiful Milton Hill House in Abingdon – a welcoming environment that supports learning and connection.
At the heart of our offering is the acclaimed Hypnotherapy Diploma Course™, widely recognized as the gold standard in UK hypnotherapy training. The course runs one weekend a month over 10 months and awards both the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy™ (DSFH) and the Level 4 Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), following successful portfolio submission.
This is a hands-on, practical course designed to help you apply what you learn right away. From working with friends and family to developing your client skills, you’ll grow in confidence and capability with each module. With a blend of neuroscience, hypnosis, psychotherapy, and business know-how, our course equips you not just to qualify, but to thrive in your new career.

Based on the latest research and neuroscience, CPHT’s accredited Hypnotherapy Diploma Course™ will equip you to become an effective and business-ready solution focused Hypnotherapist. Whether you have prior experience as a helping professional or are looking to completely change your career, you can graduate with all the necessary skills and knowledge you need to begin your career immediately.
Successful completion of the course leads to the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH). In addition, successful completion of your accompanying portfolio leads to the Level 4 NCFE accredited Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD).
Your diploma level hypnotherapy training is made up of 10 modules delivered one weekend a month, over 10 months. This allows you time to practice yours skills and build your confidence between modules. It also means you can fit your training around your life and current commitments.

Our hypnotherapy course typically starts running around March or April and again in September or October. The weekend course is our most popular course, and is available at every school. Our weekday course is only available in certain schools and runs on Thursdays & Fridays.

Set in an elegant Georgian Manor House with modern facilities and designated conference area Milton Hill House is surrounded by 22 acres of beautiful parkland. A perfect location in which to learn, relax and reflect. There are tea and coffee facilities available all day and at lunchtime there are options of hotel bar food or a very handy M&S about 5 minutes drive away. Of course you can just bring your own and make use of many of the inside and outside spaces available.
Plenty of on site free parking for all.
Milton Hill House is situated just 25 minutes south of Oxford with easy access just off the A34. There is easy access from both the M4 and the M40.
Fully wheelchair accessible everything is situated on the ground floor with simple access to the car parking facilities outside. There is a convenient and comfortable lounge area just outside the training room for breakouts, break times and quiet space when we need it.
