Anne trained as a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist at the Clifton Practice in Plymouth before moving north to Aberdeenshire and opening a Practice in Banchory. She has gone on to qualify as a Supervisor and provides support to both newly qualified and experienced Hypnotherapists across the country. Alongside her thriving Practice, Anne is also delighted to be able to pass on the Clifton Practice teachings to others in her role as Senior Lecturer at CPHT.

Anne previously worked in the NHS as a Speech and Language Therapist, specialising in children and young adults who stammer as well as providing the training role for the service. This saw her guest lecture at the University level as well as providing further training to fellow colleagues and other professionals including teachers and school nurses.

To CPHT therefore, Anne brings a passion and enthusiasm about teaching and working with both students and clients that is clear to see. She brings a vast experience of lecturing, mentoring and supervising as well as an in-depth and ongoing understanding of working with clients in a busy Practice. Anne also brings her personal experience of transitioning from a lengthy career of employment to one of self-employment with the added challenge of starting afresh in a new part of the world from where she had trained.

When not working, Anne lives with her husband Paul and their cats Mossie and Skye. She is a keen flute and piccolo player and when time allows enjoys making things from fused glass. Anne jokes, well half jokes at least, that she decided to book in a midlife crisis in 2017 and being a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist, obviously opted for a fun one. She therefore now takes great pleasure from riding to work and exploring Scotland on her Yamaha Virago trike, much to the amusement of many clients!
