Nicola discovered the benefits of hypnotherapy when her late Father was referred to a hypnotherapist by his GP to help with his illness. She was amazed at how he benefited and she became interested in this form of therapy. A few years later, in 2007, she became a clinical hypnotherapist, training at CPHT Bristol under the auspicious guidance of David Newton.

Nicola’s business soon expanded and by 2009 she was working out of 3 different practices seeing 25-30 clients a week. She is also a registered Hypnotherapy Supervisor with supervisees based all over the world.

In 2010, Nicola was instrumental in the set up and running of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) of which she was a Director and Trustee until 2015. She subsequently also held the position of Chair of the Association until 2020. This Association is a key organisation for solution focused hypnotherapy, its remit being to get the solution focused message out to the public and also support solution focused hypnotherapists in their businesses.

In addition to lecturing on the course, Nicola also backs up the students in between the course weekends with Zoom, telephone and email support.

As far as her private practice is concerned, Nicola finds her clients come from all walks of life and they present with a wide variety of problems. She has a very good success rate in helping people achieve their objectives, whether that’s with their personal, sports or professional lives. She has received positive acclaim in the national press on more than one occasion.
