Tiffany has been working in private practice since 2011, having trained with David Newton when he first set up the Plymouth branch of CPHT.  In 2015 she qualified as a supervisor and in 2021 co-authored “The Art of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy” a book popular with students of SFH. She also lectures on the Plymouth University course in solution focused practices.

Since qualifying Tiff dived into studying the techniques underlying SFH.  She has become a huge advocate for the principles of SF in therapy and has qualified as a psychotherapist (accredited through the PSA), specialising in SF and guided imagery. She has developed a particular experience in neurodiversity and working with those struggling with persistent illnesses.   A personal interest in mindfulness led her to qualifying as a teacher of mindfulness in 2019.

Tiff runs her practice from a purpose built office in Ivybridge, Devon, from where she works in person and online. The one minute commute to her practice works well with bringing up her 3 daughters, keeping an eye on their growing menagerie of pets, and her aim to become a half decent sax player!

Prior to working as a therapist, Tiff gained a BSc(hons) and Masters in ecology and worked internationally as a trainer and mentor for an international conservation charity.  Illness and family commitments meant making a change in career, and after briefly working as an outdoor instructor with young people excluded from mainstream before she discovered the joy of being a therapist.
